Material Manager – Maini Precision Products Ltd

Role & responsibilities :

1. Inventory Control -: Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to maintain the correct stock levels and minimize inventory discrepancies. Oversee cycle counts and physical inventory audits and doing perpetual inventory counts

2. Production Support -: Ensure that all materials required for production are available on time, mitigating production delays. Work closely with PPC teams to adjust material schedules as needed.

3. Demand Forecasting & Planning – : – Work closely with sales, production team and procurement team to forecast material requirements based on demand projections.

4. Job work material movement tracking and reconciliation

5. Purchasing -: Purchase inventory ( based on vendors developed by sourcing team)

6. Supplier evaluation support to sourcing team

7. Material Handling and Storage -: Design efficient storage systems to minimize material handling time and optimize warehouse space and create safe storage

8. Appropriate scrap storage and identification working with Finance and PPC team for scrap reconciliation

9. ERP System Management -: – Maintain and update Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to track material usage and inventory and system inventory management

10. Team Management -: Lead and manage a team of materials coordinators and warehouse staff, setting clear performance expectations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Good communicator & record keeping skills
• Sound computer knowledge such as MS Office, SAP/ERP etc.
• Team player
• Time management
• Significant practical experience relevant to the trades.

Qualification and Work Exp

• Graduate/Diploma holder with the specialization in Mechanical with 6 to 15 years of experience in a similar role with a medium/large sized organization.
• Location – Bangalore
• Experience in the Auto/Auto components industry
